> Does your doctor know you and your family as people, not just charts?
> Do you feel like your concerns are taken seriously when you explain your symptoms?
> Can you trust that your doctor has your best interest in mind?

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a membership‑based model of primary care that removes insurance from everyday medical care.

Instead of billing insurance, patients pay a simple monthly fee.

This allows DPC practices to:
> Limit patient panel sizes
> Offer longer visits
> Provide direct access via text, phone, or portal
> Focus on prevention, counseling, and lifestyle medicine-focused interventions
> Charge transparent, no surprise rates for comprehensive primary care services

What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?

healthcare done right

DPC may be a good fit if you:

> Want more time with your doctor

> Prefer texting or messaging your physician directly (rather than through secretaries, nurses, and circuitous phone trees)

> Are frustrated by rushed visits or long waits

> Value preventive care and a long‑term relationship with your doctor

Is Direct Primary Care Right for You?

Welcome!
I'm Dr. Meghan Monthie.

I’m a board-certified family physician who loves caring for families across multiple generations.
But the most important things to know about me can't be found on my resume.

I’m a wife to Phil (an attorney and Albany-area native), mom to two boys - Miles (a curious and delightfully feral toddler) and Henry (his smiley, chill little brother) - and dog mom to Daisy, our Havapoo pandemic pup.
I’m a (semi-retired?) marathoner and triathlete who will always choose cardio over strength training and still dreams of race days once the kids are older (and once my pelvic floor has fully recovered).

Originally from Maryland, I’ve spent my entire adult life in the Capital Region. My winters upstate significantly improved once I picked up skiing and years in New York have made a wimp out of me when it comes to southern humidity, but I’ll make an exception for a visit home with the promise of a proper blue crab feast.
I’m also a proud daughter and granddaughter of South Korean immigrants, whose courage and sacrifices shaped my own core values: perseverance, integrity, gratitude, and faith.

I’m a fellow human in a white coat who also knows mom guilt, late-night doom scrolling, skipped workouts, and all the beautiful chaos (and sleepless nights) of working motherhood.

I care for my patients the way I would care for my own family.
I love being a family doctor, and I consider it an honor and a privilege to be your family's personal doctor.
